for About.com

I just discovered how easy it is to roast vegetables, and how healthy and tastey the roasted vegetables are for my family to eat. Roasted asparagus is the perfect vegetable to serve with your kosher Thanksgiving turkey.

Ingredients:

  • asparagus spears
  • olive oil
  • kosher salt
  • balsamic vinegar

Preparation:

1. Wash and dry asparagus.
2. Place asparagus spears in a single layer on a cookie sheet.
3. Drip and rub a small amount of olive oil onto asparagus.
4. Sprinkle with kosher salt.
5. Roast at 375 degrees Fahrenheit until the asparagus begins to brown.
6. OPTIONAL TOUCH: A few minutes before taking the asparagus out of the oven, sprinkle with balsamic vinegar.
