Question: Do Jews believe in sin?
Dear Rabbi Enkin,
Do Jews believe in sin? (In other words, what's Judaism's take on sin? I was taken aback when a good Jewish friend of mine told me that he doesn't believe in sin.)
Thank you, Lina
Answer: Dear Lina,
Judaism acknowledges sin. In Judaism, a sin is generally the term used to describe a violation of the Torah.
