Question: What does Kabbalah say about the number 13?

I am currently in the process of moving apartments and our new apartment will be on the 13th floor of the building. I would like to know if it would be considered a sin or unorthodox to live on the 13th floor? Does the Kabbalah place any significance to the number 13?

Answer: You have absolutely nothing to worry about. In fact, the number 13 holds great significance according to Kabbalah.

The Hebrew words for “love” (ahava), “care” (de’aga), and “one” (echad) all have the numerical value of 13.

In addition, kabbalistically, the number 13 indicates the ability to rise above the influence of the 12 signs of the Zodiac (12+1=13), not being bound by the influences of the cosmos.

Please feel confident with your move and good luck in your new home!

Blessings and Light,
Michael Berg
