Selichot Prayers at the Western Wall

Lisa Katz
It is customary to go to the Western Wall of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem (destroyed in 70 CE by the Romans) before Yom Kippur to ask God for forgiveness for our sins. This photo was taken of people praying Slichot at the Wall at about 5 a.m. a few days before Yom Kippur.
