Definition: Machzor is a Jewish prayer book used on certain Jewish holidays.

Siddur refers to the regular prayer book used by Jews daily and on the Sabbath. Machzor refers to the specialized form of the siddur for holiday use.

There is a High Holiday Machzor for "The Days of Awe" (Yamim Noraim) of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. And there are Machzorim for the three "Pilgrimage Festivals" (Shalosh Regalim) of Passover, Shavuot and Sukkot.
