Galilee, Kinneret, Tiberias

The Galilee (Galil in Hebrew) is a mountainess, well watered, green area of Israel. The Jordan River runs through the Galilee. Tiberias and the Sea of Galilee, also called Lake Tiberias or Kineret in Hebrew, are located in Israel's Galilee region.

Zippori
Zippori, also known as Sepphoris in Greek, is in the Lower Galilee. For long periods during antiquity, Zippori was the capital of the Galilee with a vibrant religious, commercial, and social community. Today, Zippori is an antiquities park extending over 16 square km that was opened to the public in 1992, run by the Israel National Park Authority.
