Question: Can I light a Yahrzeit candle for a non-Jewish friend?

Dear Rabbi,
Can I light a Yahrzeit memorial candle for a friend that was not Jewish? The friend died very young in a car accident.
Thank you, Harold

Answer: Dear Harold,

There is nothing wrong with lighting a Yartzeit candle for your friend in order to be reminded of him.
