Question: How can I convert to Reform Judaism in Mexico?
Answer: Dear Alan,
There are no congregations affiliated with the Reform Movement in Mexico. You can check the websites of the North American Reform Movement and of the World Union for Progressive Judaism to find the congregations nearest you and seek advice from them on conversion.
There are three congregations in Mexico affiliated with the Masorti Movement (North American Conservative Judaism). Masorti Judaism is more traditional than Reform Judaism (or, Progressive Judaism, as it is often called outside of North America), but it also adheres to similar principles of the historical development of Jewish law, acceptance of scientific knowledge, and inclusion of women.
I hope this information is of help to you. Best wishes on your spiritual journey to embrace Judaism.
Best wishes,
Rabbi Jeffrey W. Goldwasser
