About Rabbi Ari Enkin

Rabbi Ari N. Enkin, originally from Montreal, fulfilled his lifelong dream of making Aliya in July 2004 after serving seven years as a rabbi in several Canadian congregations and communities.

He received his semicha from the Beit Hamidrash L’horaah of the Yeshiva Gedola of Montreal, as well as from the late Rabbi Pinchas Hirshprung. He also received an M.A. degree specializing in Informal Adult Education from Athabasca University.

His preferred area of study and teaching is Jewish Law (Halacha). His book, Dalet Amot, deals with 100 contemporary halachic issues. The book was warmly received by prominent rabbis of all ‘stripes’ including RCA rabbis Michael Broyde and Ruvain Bulka.

Rabbi Enkin, his wife Shayna, and their three children currently live in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel.
