Building
Hebrew Vocabulary is Fun!
The child chooses a topic - birthday, forests,
bedroom, ... - and then a black and white image appears. Then a word appears in writing and is heard. The child needs to click on
the picture for that word in the scene. When the right object is found, the object turns to color. When all the words
have been found, the scene is completely in color. A scoreboard
adds excitement to the game. The effectiveness of this game in teaching Hebrew
is due to many good concepts in the game - grouping the words by
category, repetition of words that take time to find, seeing the written
word and hearing the correctly pronounced word, having access to help in
finding words that are unknown, and being able to print out the
vocabulary list.
