Question

My son and family live in Israel. We come to visit 2-3 times a year, sometimes on Pesach and sometimes on Sukkot. Do we have to hold Yom Tov as in the Diaspora?

Answer

Someone visiting Israel has to keep two days of Yom Tov. Once someone owns a home in Israel, or has employment in Israel, and makes it their main home, then they can keep one day.

With blessings from Jerusalem,
