Question

Was there really Etz Chayim (Tree of Life) in Gan Eden (Garden of Eden)? Could you also refer me to more resources about this subject?

Answer

Eitz Chaim is discussed in Genesis 2:9 and 3:22. The commentaries explain that eating from its fruit increased longevity (Ibn Ezra), or perhaps even offered immortality (Ramban).

With blessings from Jerusalem,
