Question

I have been studying in the prophetic books of Haftarah and I wanted to ask you about your thoughts of how the prophets (major and/or minor) understood G-d? Or in other words what is the prophetic understanding of G-d in the Haftarah? Shalom!

Answer

The prophets perceived God as an incorporeal and omnipotent being. Thus, even when they describe God in a corporeal manner, it is so that we can somewhat comprehend what is being said - (source: "Maimonides" Fundamentals of Torah 1-4; based on the verses from Torah and Prophets quoted there).
