Question

During the existence of the Last Temple what was the history of the Passover  during the week prior to Passover? When was the sacrificial Lamb chosen? When did the sacrifice happen? Was a Shofar blown from the Temple to announce that the sacrifice had occurred? Is there a book available that would describe that week in detail?

Answer

The goat preparation of four days before Passover, was done only the first Passover, in Egypt. (Exodus 12:3; Talmud - Pesachim 96a)
