Question

What is the orthodox view of mixed dancing? What are the halachic issues involved with mixed dancing -- both group and individual?

Answer

Men and women (outside of immediate family members) should not dance together, because the dancing is liable to lead to promiscuous thoughts, touching and more - (source: "Code of Jewish Law" E.H. 21:1; "Biur Halacha" 339, s.v. L'Hakel).

 With blessings from Jerusalem,
