Question
My daughter is getting married and would like to make her own Chupa. She is thinking of squares painted or drawn on by guests at her shower and then sewing them together. Do you have any directiions for making a Chupa or size of a Chupa or any ideas that we could use?
Answer
I think that
it is an excellent idea. In terms of size it should not be too
large that
it is too heavy to held up conveniently for the length of the
wedding and
wide enough for bride and groom to stand beneath it - often
large enough
to include underneath for Rabbi(s) Cantor, and parents.
Best
