Question

How long should my husband, who is sitting shiva for his father, wear the krea ribbon or torn garment?

Answer

Generally, the kriah ribbon/torn garment is worn for 30 days, concluding at shloshim. Some do continue to wear kriah for a parent for eleven months, although this is a minority practice.

Best Wishes,
