Sara Atzmon's Art Gallery
The Rest of Humanity, 1991
I wanted to
express my feeling of being closed in a railway boxcar, deprived of food and water and the
most basic hygienic need for long days. I wanted to express the dark and crowded barracks
where we were forced to live. The barracks and the boxcars were made of raw wood. This
work is a sketch for two larger works.
