1 frying chicken, cut into pieces
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 8-ounce cans tomato sauce
2 cups water
1 cup rice
1 10-ounce package frozen peas
* can add 1/4 tsp. pepper and 1/4 tsp. salt if you feel it is very necessary, but better preparation for the fast to leave spices out.

Brown chicken pieces in oil. Add onions and sauté. Stir in tomato sauce, water, and rice. Bring to a boil, and then simmer for 45 minutes. Add peas and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.
