One way to mitigate the power of media bias is to educate consumers of news. Consumers of the news must be aware of the bias so that they can watch the news skeptically and form their own opinions. Knowledge of media bias takes power from the media and gives it to the people.

Another way to mitigate media bias is to actively fight it. Public pressure can also encourage the press to show a more balanced view of the conflict.
