Pledge of Allegiance to Jerusalem
Part 2: "Jerusalem, I pledge"

The slogan of the rally was "Jerusalem, I pledge."

"Yerushalayim Ani Nishba" is Hebrew for "Jerusalem I Pledge."

The words "Jerusalem, I pledge" were projected onto the wall near Jaffa Gate and on signs all over Jerusalem. Torches were lit along the ramparts.

Prior to the rally, thousands of youths formed a human chain around the walls of the Old City and lit torches while swearing loyalty to the capital.

During the rally, crowds sang in unison, "If I forget thee o Jerusalem, let my right hand forget its cunning." People also danced.

Images from Jerusalem's history were beamed by laser onto the stone walls surrounding the city. And politicians spoke about the importance of Jerusalem to Jews worldwide, not just in Israel.
