Jew In the City

Nearly everyone has heard of HBO's hit series "Sex In the City," but what about "Jew In the City"? According to the Jerusalem Post, this is the title of a website with the sole purpose of "breaking down stereotypes about religious Jews and offering a humorous, meaningful look into Orthodox Judaism." Founded by Allison Josephs, the site has over 1,200 "likes" on its Facebook page.

In addition to articles answering questions about Orthodox Judaism, the site also features a series of YouTube videos with Allison Josephs and former Blossom star, Mayim Bialik. Click here to view one of the videos, which answers the question: "Is Orthodox Judaism Sexist?" What do you think about Josephs' answer? Aside from the oversimplification of the Creation story - there are two versions of the Creation of humankind, after all - I thought it was a lighthearted and intelligent response to a question fraught with misinformation.
